I just wanted to give you a quick update about my door knocking and signature campaign. Today was an incredibly difficult day in Fox River Grove. I met two more families who will be leaving the Grove, McHenry County, and Illinois this fall.
They simply cannot afford the taxes on their homes which are completely paid for.
Think about that for a minute. One family has lived in Fox River Grove for 31 years and the other for 22 years. They cannot afford the taxes on their homes. These are the people that our state and local governments tax to oblivion.
It is truly heartbreaking when you have someone who has worked their entire life to build something special tell you their story about how they are either losing their home or having to sell. Either way – its just wrong.
As far as signatures go – I am doing outstanding. I simply could not be doing better. I am working very hard to ensure we get David McSweeney and Bill Prim on the ballot. We have the chance here in McHenry County to do some amazing things with our local governments.
I will continue to walk Algonquin, Fox River Grove, and Cary. I have met a lot of you and I am so thankful for your support. If you have any questions or need a petition please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
